If we view the climate cult as a religion...

1,600 years ago St Augustine in his book Confessions wrote: "If you show me that my God is not God, then I will not believe in him." This passage suggests that Augustine believed that if someone could be shown that their god was false, then they would no longer believe in that god.

Another relevant passage from Confessions that is: "The truth is not something that can be forced on people. It must be discovered by each individual for themselves." This passage suggests that people cannot be convinced to believe in a false god, but they can be shown the truth about God, which will lead them to believe in him.

The difficulty we see here is that most people are not capable of understanding "the science". As such, they seek a higher authority and hence the "religion of climate change".
