The current sthn. European heat wave will, obviously, increase the need for air cons.- thus general power consumption will rise significantly.
Only gas & coal-fired power stations can guarantee cheap, reliable, baseload power.

In heat wave conditions, wind power often diminishes (because often heat waves are associated with below average wind; &/or power authorities "derate"/reduce the power from turbines, fearing heat damage/seizing up to the gear box & generator mechanisms, & transformers can explode).
