that is spot on...I have a stop loss ( of sorts) of 50% to allow somewhat for that
and Hagetaka...when to sell and how many to sell? ..depends on your own personality. plus size of holding (to an extent), or more likely weighting in portfolio. number of mines, or even extent of dependence on one railline, road or port may come into it for miners and your own risk...I remember my Father had a stack of Gympie Gold once, hadnt sold any!....and I had a fair holding in the "government guaranteed" Qld Magnesia Corp
I often sell say 10% for a start, but each to their own strategy really.
