I have been punting the market for 50 years and had lotsa wins and lotsa losses.
My comments for what they are worth are as follows.
Amateurs sell rising shares too early and hold falling shares too long
My big wins are
a. When I get a tip from a good source.
b. When I research a sector logically then choose the best stock in that sector
c Act countercyclically
d, Follow the money
e Look at market close buying closely
f. Sell when I think that the market is irrationally high
g. Take a big punt on a penny stock like AJQ at the moment and be prepared to lose the lot
