Australian coal stocks' SP are having a good run lately (excluding TER- South Africa exposure; BCB- recent Ann.'s. gave misleading info. on their production, & don't state AISC. Possibly facing a CR; CKA- management constantly have false Ann.'s re logistics & sales- none!, & omit relevant info.).
Cn anyone advise how USA & South African major listed thermal coal producers have been faring in last 2 weeks? And reasons, if also SP's are rising?
Is this the reason?
Reuters 24/7/223 said"In Sydney, energy stocks rose 1.4% after a 2% jump in oil prices on Friday, buoyed by growing evidence of supply shortages in the coming months and rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine that could further hit supplies.
Index heavyweights Santos and Woodside Energy were up 1.5% and 1.3%, respectively".
