No-one would argue that the 1st tranche wasn't worthwhile. However, some of the buying with the 2nd tranche was not-even allowing for the fact that the total dividend payment was reduced as a result. It is not being wise after the event-you only have to look at NHC to see how to do the BB appropriately.
