Frankly we all hope you are right and this conflict ends today as much as I would love to see skyrocketing coal prices. On the other hand western huge expenditures on war will likely depress western world economic activity and coal prices will suffer. Interesting times.
Am afraid that our ''legacy'' naval power is toast against new battle proven drone + missile swarms perfected in Ukraine. New Russia - Iran military alliance and technology relationship grown out of Ukraine is not funny. Conflict between our easily identifiable ships(targets) and Iranian huge mountainous land mass protected mobile firing positions within range of Hormuz will end in a predictable outcome. Moment they sink only a ship or two Hormuz is toast, mining it for months is predictable.
Personally I think Iran will not be attacked due to this and coal will trade seasonally unless major weather event intervenes.
