2. An extremely cold weather pattern is currently causing freezing conditions in Canada, & many parts of the USA. Some places have record lows.

Much renewable energy will be useless in these conditions-snow, rain, sleet, no sunshine etc on solar panel will result in no solar power; & wind turbine blades, weighed down by ice & snow, will become also ineffective.. Fossil fuels for energy & heaating etc. will go into overdrive, in order to, literally, save many lives.

How much will thermal coal prices rise (although there is much gas availability at present)?
