This new founding by the Fed. govt. appears to be a sign it has increasing confidence that Carbon Capture & Storage might offer a commercially viable method to, safely & permanently, store CO 2 emissions from gas etc.
If CCS develops into a proven, efficient technology, it will, of course, provide a massive boost to the gas & oil industry- &, eventually, STO.

(Many renewable energy zealots say CCS will never be commercially viable; &/or provide permanent CO 2storage. This view has also been previously expressed by some ALP officials).
