    only way you can imagine it working for WHC (assuming they can bed down BWM/DNM quickly) is to sell off part of BWM to de-risk the balance sheet - if that allows share price to re-rate (not a guarantee obvs.) then there is better ability to buy anglo using debt, delayed payment and a cap raise (or bid as JV). that only works if their own shares are no longer stupidly undervalued which either needs more time to pay off debt using profit or in current situation would need a part sale.
    more likely for BHP or Glen in this bid. Yal has cash, but that hasn't helped them in all the other coal mines being sold in recent years, possible but FIRB getting in the way is a big risk for someone like Anglo to consider.
