The German's won't like the negative comments being made about their products and other miners will be talking about the comments and what chain was used etc. I've been to 2 of the biggest AFC chain manufactures facilities in German (including the one referenced without naming names) and they are both world class. I've also had more to do with chain breakages and failures than a lot in the industry and you really need to make sure your running a tight ship before rubbishing a product as an excuse for a production loss. 100% Narrabri isn't that clean and certainly don't have the best maintenance practices after inspecting some of their used sprockets.
Guessing the gifted chain was from Moranbah as not many run the 56mm broadband chain. Paul didn't mention why Narrabri didn't have a spare chain on standby given the lead time for supply these days.....
