Grosvenor closed - Shift Miner1. In my post directly above- point 1, my sentence should have, obviously, been "A long time closure of Grosvenor" (not WHC!).


2. More very gloomy prognostications about the possible long term, or permanent, closure, of Anglo's Grosvenor met mine.

Not including the long term production losses, the overall costs of sealing the mine with valuable machinery still underground cost Peabody more than $50 million (in US$?, not sure, my words).

However, with Anglo announcing its plans to sell all its coal mines a month ago, the fire will have enormous implications (all emphases, mine) implications for that sale process.
