This above link, re Anglo's auction of all its Qld.coal mines, says that:-

. [Re BHP] "...sources say it is not bidding"; & that the Anglo auction will probably attract some "non-conforming bidders".
( I assume the latter means foreign companies are unlikely to obtain FIRB approval. Would this exclude Yancoal? Hopefully!).

. WHC may probably only bid for Anglo's " more attractive mines" ( Iassume the author implies that WHC will soon become cash-up, following a lucrative sale of part of Blackwater).
