Montalbano...The Chinese situation is quite mad...it has been calculated that China has 100 million more homes than needed...and that the population is falling dramatically ..Indeed by 2050 the Chinese population now at 1.3 billion will be about 800 million ..this is hardly a demographic that signals smart property investment will be the the end product of the present building mania in China...further "massive property collapses are on the Agenda" unless China redirects its strategy in International investment and away from present domestic property investment which will surely be seen as one of the maddest periods in the history of China under the Communist Party.
May I suggest that China will need to ally much more closely with India in the Indian Industrial Revolution to provide an outlet for Chinese savings ...China is overbuilt...India is under built ...Chinese Rapid period of development has reached a new more stable period...India's period of strong challenging growth has just started...India is a nation of highly educated people ...United by one language English ..China has over 1000 dialects ..With Mandarin as the unifying language which is hardly an international language ...and not as unifying as one would expect!!!
I believe there is a great future ahead for met-Coal through Asia less China and predominantly through the Indian Industrialisation...sure there is still growth in China but not the intensive growth as in previous years.... I believe we must look to India for the next 10 years of powerfully expanding growth.
