The problem is not funding, it's The Activity Test. No amount of increased subsidy is going to help you if you are unable to access care.
Will a saving of $25 per week be enough of an incentive to make parents increase attendance and improve occupancy levels?
The increased wages, much deserved, long overdue, but shouldn't be subsidised by the taxpayer. Opening the floodgates with that one.
Will be watching with interest the effect of the increased costs incurred for qualified staff employed in centre's with licensed places of 60+ required from January 2020.
All pie in the sky. Shorten has to be elected, it has to be costed and if implemented, won't be until July 2020.
