I used to try predicting the bottom and back my judgement. Always failed. Learned my lesson though expensive it had been. Now, I wait for news and, if good, I put in my money even if I miss the bottom price. Not advice, just my personal view. Another thing I do is read ann which may not be market sensitive but report on changes in holdings. Gives a guide as to who is buying or selling that can influence the sp. With GEM, I get curious when the move is from a foreign investor. But that's me, just a retail investor that can't rock the boat either way. IMO
