nothing goes up in a straight line, I agree, but for this stock the previous two booms were fairly impressive rallies with each having only a single period of sideways movement. Also remember that the market is forward-looking.
I am not convinced we will be able to use measures from the past like, when coal was $x/tonne WHC share price was Y. Because in this age of ESG influenced investing I fear there will not be the weight of money seeking profit from a dirty coal mining company. Hope I'm wrong. I'm happy to collect huge dividends while the coal price is high, but I'm also seeking capital gain.
