You should have seen what trading economics wrote about coal when it was $50/ton in 2020. They were pushing the narrative of countries dumping coal in favor of renewables. Yet usage is going up and more coal plants are getting built. These analysts should report what they see in the data, instead of being the activists themselves. Just think about it, if solar power can replace coal, then why can't solar power provide all the electricity needed to power the air conditioners in those heat wave hit countries? After all, a heat wave means there is no rain, no cloud cover and plenty of sunlight.

To make things worse, a heat wave also means that there is no wind at night. There is zero renewables generation at night. Enjoy the hot summer nights.

But greenies will say: "We have got the big batteries". So you think a heat wave lasts 1-2 days only? Can your big battery power all the A/Cs for more than 2 hours?
