A further thought on your comment.
Surely as the principal buyers of WHC coal it would not be a bad idea for Japanese, Korean or Indian generators to make a cheeky bid for WHC, say $4.00 plus?
They are then if successful securing coal supply at a stable cost price at A$75 plus profit from sales to others.
Or if not keen to buy a coal company they could approach WHC to make strategic investment of say $500m plus to secure future coal by way of say share placement at premium to current price , say $3.50 per share.
Either way this would add value for shareholders .
just throwing out some thoughts.
