For want of having nothing else to do.
The periodicity of this pattern whereby we have a gradual amplitude oscillation of both WHC and NHC then a sudden uplift in SP of both leading to a massive increase and then a massive decrease is appearing again.

The dip after the first uplift is common. Then a sudden secondary surge.

The RED is the oscillation. The BLACK is the uplift and the YELLOW is the rapid decline. You technical guys/girls probably have fancy names.
The cycle is roughly every 2 to 2.5 months. Beware that first climb to base camp. sometimes its a short mountain and sometimes its a tall mountain.

NHC has followed an upward path as always and WHC is sideways so I'm going to say its about to begin. Not saying it will go either way but the first few days of year will be interesting. DYOR. I'm no expert in TA or FA....in fact I know SweetFA.
