It might not be affordable, but the only real alternative in the world is natural gas, and that's high as well! Both are going much higher in the years ahead.
This is actually what the 'greens' want, sky-high fossil fuel prices, because only then does it justify a global switch to solar/wind/geothermal. For these 'greener' alternatives to replace the coal/gas energy void would take decades and trillions of dollars in new investment.
As such... i think coal/gas prices will stay much higher for at least a few years yet. Massive global issues + inflation... WHC will be printing money.
