Trains are not quite at capacity, as in previous years, the Australian Rail Track Corporation line from Narrabri/Upper Hunter through the Hunter Valley has handled a few more million tonnes per annum than in 2021.
Some of the slight decline may be to do with coal loader problems at Kooragang/Newcastle.
