I think that's a reasonable assesment.
I believe strongly in the inflation thesis. In a nation of households laden with irresponsible debt, it's only logical that one would let prices rise and the value of mopey fall to protect the voting borrowers. The alternative would be interest rate hike that hurts borrowers but controls inflation.
It seems like there's a dichotomous issue at hand. On the one hand demand is high with supply issues, possibly due to commodity related problems. On the other hand, there's signficiant economic certainty and a likely chinese (hidden) downturn at play.
Commodities generally do well in an inflationary environment and in uncertain economic times. So either way it seems to be a win-win for commodities.
However, WHC's share price certainly does not reflect this thesis, and there was a pretty significant 4.5% dip today
