Watching the crazy prices for coal beggars belief and even though it may be short lived I feel there is a more important acceptance coming into play.
That being woke governments , especially in Europe ( Germany has always had a strong Green party ) who have jettisoned coal and nuclear because mother Russia could be relied upon to provide cheap gas are suddenly forced to do a U turn and look at both coal and nuclear as sustainable options for the foreseeable future ! What happened at Cop 26 was the wet dream which has been rudely interrupted by a reality check.
The green agenda to provide base load power is a wet dream for the climate change club who now have to wake up and provide energy from traditional sources such as coal and nuclear, this over time will in my opinion make coal as well as nuclear " on trend " .
It may not be accepted by the AOC's and Greta's of this world but hey they were never going to wake up but political leaders recognise when they have to throw away the green virtue signalling crap and buy coal. COP 27 will be very interesting!
