no debt is probably good but no debt is not filling contracts, digging more coal , moving more coal, need to spend more money on machinery , bigger better or more, these times do not come very often, they have to move a lot more coal then what they have been, more coal more money , so debt is not the most important thing. ( the old saying make hay when to suns is shining )
