I used to use Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator.

They have very recently changed and reduced content on their website. Used to have stats on daily and monthly inflow and outflow into Newc coal loading company PWCS etc, versus targets. All data appears to be gone now. I recall about 160M tonnes pa.
It also used to have a live maritime google map to track individual coal ships and see how many were in the queue. Was worldwide. Could zero in on any port. The amount of shipping and fishing boats out there is truly mind boggling.
Coal prices try
globalCoal NEWC Index for a broad outline on how global coal pricing works. Also RB (Roberts Bay South Africa) and DES ARA (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp) indexes.
No actual price data without paying a membership fee, but a good broad education.
ARTC - Australian Rail Track Corporation might have some details re track maintenance & extension plans.
