I had people who thought I was crazy to hold Afterpay after 4 x return and then I eventually sold for 10-13 x return. The time to sell for me is when the company is fully valued and not when paper handed funds and jealous AFR journalists, the ABC etc are whining about how great my company is. they are similarly whining about coal and climate but reality just needs energy...
So I applaud and relate to your concentration in coal, though my own exposure isn't anywhere near yours as I'm still recovering my mojo after having 90% Afterpay up to $2m+ for years, which really does make you feel a bit ill when there are huge swings.
I also ask myself if I would buy today and tend to average up over time and don't average down much anymore. I'll happily buy at 5 x my original buy... Zooming out and looking at market cap vs what i think market cap should be helps me overcome the anchor/legacy bias of my much cheaper buys...
I'm up to 30% coal right now and rising...I feel like WHC should be at least 8-10b market cap.
