Good point, you're exactly right. On that example above, Australia's coal exports dwarf both copper and aluminium.
The media is a huge part of the problem. Back in 2018-19, coal was Australia's largest export earner (ahead of iron ore). This was only reported by the Australian newspaper - not by the ABC, the Fin Review, or any other MSM - I know as I did a search at the time. Also, three of the top 5 performing companies on the ASX in 2021-22 were coal companies - WHC, CRN and NHC. Again, this was only reported in the Australian. If they don't report it, it's not happening!
