That muppet at the start of the interview annoys me ( not the one who interviews Dyson but the other muppet) . He attempts to spin that Dyson is “ neutral” on global warming .

There is no way any reasonably objective person would interpret Dyson to be be neutral . In fact he says it a number of times , co2 is beneficial to the atmosphere for a host of non climate related reasons , primarily additional plant growth . Dyson categorised this as a non climate related benefit however additional plant growth via greening definitely aids with cooling ( positive feedback) in various areas so even then the benefits are positive to climate as well .

He has passed now regrettably ( about a year ago) . One of the great recent physicists of our time . I worry our institutions won’t produce people of this calibre in the future as most of these institutions have now became captured by green ideology and this is causing a scary level of group think to now pervade a number of our sciences .
