With all the volume going through in today, I got to thinking, is AEX a target for a takeover?

PDN is just about to raise funds that they outright say are for acquisitions. They have just bolstered their Aussie stable but we all forget that they are more experienced in Africa. Who better to take the AEX So. African bits and make it happen? They have the political experience, the supply chain management to Africa, the talent and with their share price and the notes raising, they have the capital.

I haven't done any fundemental analysis yet as to whether there would be good synergies, etc, but AEX is close to decalring minable resources if they are there and PDN is probablyl the best company to take up the baton from here.

Finally, the PDN price has fallen today and the AEX risen - a classic response when a takeover is announced. The only problem is there is no announcement but there is the momentum.

Any thoughts or am I just shooting in the dark?
