Fundamentals between exchanges are flawed on NASDAQ BHP is trading with a pe ratio of 5.5 and on the ASX a pe ratio of 8.64 this means that on the astralian exchange bhp is trading 36% more than the us.
Its overpriced because its over valuation is relative to its pe ratio. If you took the australia share price back to a pe ratio of 5.5 the asx price would be $15.80 and this does make sense because thats a reduction in share price of 36% to reflect comparitive value.
