That's only if they ditch US dollar as the reserve currancy and go back to currencies needing to be backed by gold.
Could it happen, yes, but it is no certainty. Prefer to look at the devaluation of the US dollar due to fed money printing as the immediate catalyst. Either way gold is going higher, just a question of how fast.
