There has been little indication that the gold price is influencing the share price of RED (certainly not in the short term at least). Expect gold price to only be a major factor once RED begins production and is re-rated. That being said, the higher the gold price once production begins the greater the re-rating will be and the share price jump. Who knows, RED might even pay big dividends if the gold price remains strong, I can't imagine production costs and exploration costs at Mapawa to drain all the free cash flow!
