Kashga's point about reservoir is probably the most under acknowledged critical issue for the hot rock guys. HEWI although as yet untested, is more than theory, nothing different to the science of oil production - likewise it will be complex and full of uncertainties and riddles. As a reult the world is full of "reservoir engineers". Critically in geothermal we are looking for water production rates much higher than most oil production.
BPT not only understand reservoir engineering, but also know the local rock, have obviously studied the problem thoroughly and put big bikkies on the line. I would therefore expect that BPT are confident of getting the required flows.
Regardless, PTR has not placed all it's eggs in one basket, has built a pretty interesting basket of assets in Spain, is laying pretty interesting groundwork in China, and looking elsewhere.
