Seems dr Soucek created omomyc very early in her career. I am guessing that the principle of operation was the big breakthrough rather than the exact formulation. Once the principle is understood and published one would think it quite possible that something similar and possibly even more effective could then be created. Lets hope so. It will certainly be interesting to see if more news flows from the previous trials that do appear to be getting some follow up work. If a similar announcement can be made of success in mouse models with greater potency than omomyc using our own cpp and inhibitor things could get very interesting.
