once Biden comes in and turns down the rhetoric to China, Scomo should not stick his head out again or he would be further singling out Australia with no real backing from US. This may see a period of healing between us and China and recovery in trading. If he continues then hes a nob.
Take the analogy of running a restaurant, if you tell your best customer one day that they should dress more appropriately than coming in in tshirts and thongs what do you think will happen? Especially in front of other customers rather a discreet chat. They are going to swallow their pride (irrespective of right or wrong) and beg you to let them dine? Seriously this isnt about China being a bully (they are), but I dont blame them for taking a stance as well. Our level (or lack) of diplomacy needs to be looked hard at.
