Take the analogy of running a restaurant, if you tell your best customer one day that they should dress more appropriately than coming in in tshirts and thongs what do you think will happen? Especially in front of other customers rather a discreet chat. They are going to swallow their pride (irrespective of right or wrong) and beg you to let them dine?
