    I guess there's two things here, reputation with investors, and reputation within the medical community.

    In the short term, investors are likely to take bad news for medical related products very seriously. So I agree that yes, reputation has been tarnished quite severely in this respect.

    However, the important one is reputation within the medical community. Until there is news that doctors are en masse avoiding the Cochlear implant, then in the medium to long term there is really no significant impact to the value of the company from before the recall. Certainly nothing to warrant a valuation as low as the 30s anyway.

    I don't know much about technical analysis, but if TA drives the share price further down, I'd say, in the absence of any permanently damaging news, it's an excellent opportunity to buy in further.
