Today's news about Tarong power station reducing its capacity by 50%
is interesting as I believe it not all that far from Cougars' mothballed
Kingaroy site.
One wonders if the less expensive Syngas feedstock from Cougar would have been a better option than their own coal.
The economics of these things escape me, but the politics don't.
There appears little chance of ever finding out, but one still wonders.
It seems that reduced demand and carbon pricing,together with oversupply
from renewables is disrupting the entire market, so the Queensland, and
Australian bird may have fluttered away, roll on Asia
Who would have thought this three or so years ago, still life does go on...,
so do I it seems!
