d 10 when I was doing accounting and law and all that rubbish it was all about contract date as opposed to settlement date.
ie if you bought a house on the 29th of June but didnt settle until the 31st of August when are you the rightful owner? The answer is contract date, therefore i think the same holds true with shares, hence we have 3 more ugly days of tax selling.......
