    Yes, exactly LTInvestor. It is such a crazy world.

    Speaking far more broadly now (and slightly off topic), my issue with things like this is that the legality of using force has gotten so complex that it actually detracts from the ability of end users to do their job effectively observing common sense. To take this one step further, I also think it jeopardises their safety if they cannot act instinctively, but have to act in accordance with doctrine fashioned by people with no such concerns. It seems we place far more emphasis on protecting the rights of those committing a wrongdoing than those we rely on to confront them.

    For the main these devices are used by governments that are highly accountable to the public. In my view, sadly, this means people will more readily condemn that government than they will ask what it is somebody did to deserve the use of force in the first place. Suddenly a perpetrator becomes a victim.

    I dislike lawyers too.
