    It is still colder than what it was before the dinosaurs were wiped out and colder from before the last ice age.
    Anyone who bothers to do the research would know that it is the North Atlantic current that controls the worlds average temperature.
    You start off with a ice age ,the ice starts to melt diluting the salt in the North Atlantic current that slows down the current.
    The current slows down and eventually stops causing a new ice age before restarting to flow again due to the melted ice reforming again to help the salt volume rebuild.
