Hi Nicky, This sounds like your little girl. Everyone will tell you something different. It's not that big a state, compared to Queensland, anyway. What about Launceston or Devonport in the north. They are a bit bigger for work etc and also a bit warmer than the west coast. She can still swim a bit in Summer etc. They have the Ferry and an Airport there to the mainland. Also, it's very easy access to Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake etc and she might enjoy that. I've visited Tassie twice and it's nice. It's hard to advise children, you can only try. Good luck. Twoup
