what consequences would a take over by Cooke have?
l would guess stronger market connections,
more $ capital to expand prawn business faster,
perhaps capital to build new products-seaweed perhaps even carbon farming from seaweed etc
big parent company less likely to be a minnow
shorters to lose their shirts and shorts and undies due to less market fluctuations, a more consistent sh price
more diverse business,
greater access to us and foreign markets
negatives
lose the Australian owned and operated tag
less agile to take risks eg like moving into prawns
no franking credit
there must be more that I am missing, any thoughts?
