Not sure anyone will bother ever reading this, but as one of the last posts I hope it stays up for a long time.
I was well aware of the opportunity for Tassal to get into other forms of aquaculture like Barrumundi that the new owners have bought into. It was a lack of foresight by management and the board we had to diversify, so the takeover was a nice easy out for them, instead of handing over the reins to people that wanted to continue to build a potentially great Australian owned business.
I had mentioned Barramundi to the board and whichever management level employees I met at several AGMs, and they were always poo-hooing the idea of incorporating Barrumundi into the business. Now new foreign owners and management think it's a great idea..
