wawawee, I dont have an answer to what criteria I use for investing in a particular stock. i use charts and rarely do i know what a stock does, this method is not for everybody as most people like to know what a particular company does But I do have a suggestion for you. You said you have written off the stock in your head, so why not write it off your books by selling it before June 30. This is an effective method of minimising your tax against profits you may have achieved from sales of other stocks. If you are a buy and hold investor, then this may not work. But you can always carry forward losses into future years, when you have profits from other stocks.
You can always buy back AGY if you believe in the story, but I believe its best to do it in the following tax year, which is only a week away anyway.With the big drop that AGY has seen, it wont be going up quick any time soon. hope this helps a bit.
