I think Tata are building there own in-house VOIP solution. Came across this a couple of days ago:
Unfortunately the URL periodically goes offline and then comes back online. Note the signature banner at the bottom (not the first time we've seen that).
"The Tata Sponsored Data Exchange is powered by Syntonic Freeway Services"
VOIPem is an app available on Android and Apple that allows for encrypted calling and messaging. The last update they did was back in 2015, i think around the time Tata would have been making moves. IMO, Tata acquired these guys for pennies to use in their sponsored data exchange to allow people to use earned data on calls and messaging. It appears Tata is building a very robust and comprehensive sponsored data platform.
I could be so wrong with this. Makes sense though. Doesn't really pertain to Syntonic though, hence why i didn't post about. It does show how grand of a project this is, hence the frustrating delays.
