    Not really in that scenario because the user wouldn't put up with advertising within an MMS system for an almost unnoticeable saving in data.

    The current SYT system is:

    SYT buys data from carrier >> App developer pays SYT per install >> SYT pays for users data cost

    It works fantastically for APP's for a few reasons but the biggest one is that a single install can bring serious long term revenue for the app developer normally through micro transactions this coupled with SYT's data discount from the carrier makes it a win for the user, carrier and SYT.

    Each new iteration and focus for the SYT platform will bring new hurdles they will have to overcome as it changes that core solid financial basis they have for sponsored apps.

    The dramatically increased size of data for the OTT platform is a good example of this, things like this aren't insurmountable but merely new challenges for the SYT team (which i'm sure they have been working on) that pop up when they expand out from the original concept.
