    This thread is amusing. Most of the replies give more of an insight into posters than into the issue of to tat or not to tat IMO :)

    Re dress codes of a company - within broad guidelines companies should be able to have a dress code that reflects the image they wish to project. (Although I did resent it when told women should not wear slacks to work, which went too far in my view.)

    Given that, there should be no problem hiring someone with tattoos but neither should there be a problem with asking employees to wear clothing to fit in with the company image (which might or might not totally cover the tattoos).

    These days so many people from all walks of life have tattoos (from large to small tattoos). If someone is put off by them sufficiently to not do business with a firm that employs people with tattoos then I'd be very surprised. The number would be so small as to be insignificant IMO.
