Firstly, in order to even get the patents approved, there's a process that involves proving that the product is unique and novel.
How something looks, is not the whole story is it? What makes our devices unique and novel is not just the obvious simplicity of the design, it's also the fact that it's strong and comprises material that won't be rejected or generate calcification.
So Edwards can try. I don't think anyone in AHZ is worried about this eventuality, and I'm sure our patent lawyers sleep well at night too.
In fact most of the legal work being generated right now would be possible partnerships. IMO.
