Seems to be a bit of a dispute among medical professionals as to the relative merits of TAVR vs SAVR (Search TAVR on twitter)
Most is way over my head but TAVR would seem to me to have a clear advantage it is less invasive. Unfortunately, while durability was cited (by twitter poll) as the key roadblock to uptake, with surgeon reluctance 2nd, there seems to be no mention whatsoever of adapt and its calcification benefits.
Anyone able to demystify the differences between SAVR and TAVR? Guessing adapt isnt front of mind as it is still under development.
